Sunflower is a very strong layout, especially from the back tees for a 7,001 yards, and 132 slope, but with four shorter tees. The course is essentially a muni, operated by Wyandotte County, but it's not your ordinary muni, save for the amount of play it gets, and the rates. It was designed by Roger B. Packard in 1977, and is 20 miles west of Kansas City off of I-70.
Parkland style of layout with tree lined fairways, a little water in play, sand both in the landing areas and greenside, the greens are average in size with minimal slope and undulation.
