Prospector is located in Washington's version of Sunriver, the Suncadia Resort. It is located off of exit 80 on Interstate 90 about 70 miles east of Seattle. Master planned resort community with a private course Tumble Creek, and the Prospector, an Arnold Palmer design which is open to the public, as well as the new Rope Rider. Rope Rider is a Jacobsen and Hardy design that was carved through and over the existing land, a a former coal-mining operation. The seventh and ninth holes run along Tipple Hill, a 120-foot-high pile of coal tailings covered by dirt and vegetation. It's is named for the miners who balanced themselves on the roped coal cars that went into the mines. Prospector is routed through tall pine tree lined forests with views of the eastern slopes of the Cascades throughout the course. It can play to 7100 yards, but is a tough, tough course from the tips, there's three other sets of tees which I'd advise using if you're not a scratch player. Plenty of tight fairways, well bunkered holes, and the usual Palmer risk/reward design features. Great conditioning, rates are stiff, but a great golf experience, and superb views. Well worth the cost.

Had a chance to play Rope Rider last month, it was a delight, the course is easier, faster, and loads of fun than the others here. This is a course that plays 30 minutes quicker than the adjacent Prospector course, a rigorous test designed by Arnold Palmer. Why? The bunkers aren't as deep, neither is the rough. There are few if any forced carries. There is an ability to bounce the ball into almost every green. There are forward tees, so forward they're for kids. There are loops of six and 12 holes if you don't have all day for a round. Golf doesn't have to break your spirit to be fun. This is fun.

Great track, beautiful setting not one hole i didn't like. i played from the championship tees of 7150. not a very long course because of "the ball travels further here it seems. Not that tough of a course cause it has big fairways with big greens. It was a little excessive given the location of this place. i payed twilight rate of $70 beans on a weekend which started at 3pm. It can play extremely challenging-being in the mountains you can get some major winds in the afternoon. Fairways were still quite wet-we were held to the cart paths only
