Stonebridge is on the southwest side of Monroe off Waxhaw Highway, routed through a new residential community with most of the holes cut through a heavy forest. There's four sets of tees from 5,900 to 7,000 yards, we play from the Member tees at 6,431 yards, 70.2/126, and it's all the course you will need. The course was designed by Richard Osborne, and is simply a traditional, well-maintained, combination links/parkland style of course with interesting and unique holes through the entire 18 holes. It's easily walkable with the tee boxes fairly close to the greens, and not all that hilly. The front nine is more parkland style, the back side open and links-like, both are interesting and enjoyable to play, though you will be challenged.

I love the setting for Stonebridge, except for the road that this runs across it. The course was in great shape, except the greens were a bit spongy from all the rain. The pace of play was great, right at 4 hours if you didn't mind the marshals running around harping you!
