Stone Creek is a rather new course in the Ocala area. It's part of the Del Webb community southwest of town, off I-75 at exit 360 then west a mile or so. It's becoming one of the better courses, open to the public in town. There's a variety of tees from 5,000 yards to 7,200 yards at the back tees with ratings of 72 74.0/130. It's was designed by Terry Doss, and the best feature is the Champions Bermuda greens, which are some of the best in the area. The course is routed through the houses, is open and links-style with a lot of waste areas and water in play on 11 holes. Fair and open off the tee, the greens are good sized, challenging, but fair to all levels of play.

Played this week, and they had just punched the greens, but at least they made us aware of it when we booked. Really want to get back and play here once the greens have grown in. Excellent layout, and value, especially this time of year, and the pace of play was super at 4 hours on the dot.

One of my favorite courses in Ocala. Always in great condition. Greens are fast with subtle, often undetectable breaks. Great value.
