Split Rock is just off I-80 about 30 minutes west of Stroudsburg in Lake Harmony, and is part of a resort, but you don't have to stay there to play the golf course. There's 27 holes, all cut into a forest surrounding the resort over hilly land. The layout will be difficult to the higher handicapper with all the elevation change and blind shots. They have GPS on the carts, and you really need it the first time you play here as it's difficult to gauge the distances. All of the fairways are tree lined, some tight and very confining chutes. Conditions were excellent, the golf shop and clubhouse inviting, restaurant and bar good, and the rates reasonable.
