SouthWood Golf Club is in a master planned community, has members, but is still open to the public. It was designed by Fred Couples and Gene Bates, and plays to.7,172 yards, and 132 slope from the back tees, but with four other options. The course is routed through rolling hills, and meadows, with tree lined fairways. They've given you enough room off the tee, and it's an enjoyable golf course that just keeps getting better each time I play. It's very well conditioned, good guest service, and an interesting and varied layout. I won't play anywhere else when I'm visiting Tallahassee.
