Sierra Del Rio

Sierra del Rio part of the Turtleback Mountain Resort, a residential community in Elephant Butte. It's about 5 minutes off I-25, exit 79 at Truth at Consequences to the east. The course is a desert style course, routed over hilly/rocky land and was designed by Dick Phelps, playing from 5,800 yards to 7,300 yards, with a 141 slope from the tips. Interesting, challenging course in excellent condition with nice views all around. A lot of bunkering, especially around the greens, water in play on four holes, with each hole isolated and different. Definitely worth the stop between Las Cruces and Albuquerque.
