Shuksan is up in the Bellingham area, off the I-5 at the Ferndale exit #262, then east a few miles. The golf course got its name from one of the Cascade peaks, and the course reminds you of mountain climbing on a number of holes..not walkable unless you're in great shape. The course is routed though the hills and valleys around Ten Mile Creek, with a good variety of holes. From the back tees it's 6742 yards, course rating of 72.2 and a 135 slope, and designed by Rick Dvorak Mostly interesting holes, some tree lined and some open, good elevation change, and a nice setting for a round of golf without any houses in play.

Don't play this course after it's been raining for a while, it doesn't drain well. It's not all that walkable either, both other than this a very well designed and maintained course with interesting holes and a nice setting. Challenging layout for the higher handicapper, definitely worth the drive up to Bellingham.
