Shepherd’s Crook is owned and operated by the Zion Park District, and is just south of the Wisconsin border in Zion, east of I-94. It's a nice mix of open and forested holes with water in play on a few holes, and moderately challenging. It was designed by Keith Foster and and from the Silver tees is 6,769 yards, course rating of 71.9, and a 125 slope. We played from the 6300 white tees and found it to be challenging, but straightforward design with wide open landing areas and trouble guarding most greens. Easily walkable, enjoyable and reasonably priced course to play. No driving range here, so the first three holes are easy, but if you need to warm up, stop at the range before you get here.
