Shenandoah Valley is 8 miles north of Front Royal, and a great getaway from DC to the country, an hour west and provides a great golf course, and views of Skyline Drive, the Blue Ridge and Massanutten mountain ranges. There's 27 holes here, designed by Raymond Loving, and the rates are very reasonable. It's parkland type of golf with tree lined fairways with some hilly holes. The Red and White nines are walkable, but the Blue nine is a difficult track and tough to walk due to the hills. Every hole is fairly straightforward with well defined fairways. All in all, well maintained, and good customer service, and is a pleasure to get out of town to play here.
