Shell Landing in just west of Gautier on the coastal side of US 90, and is part of an upscale housing development to be. Not many houses in play at the moment. The course is a Davis Love design and is a fair layout through the tidal marshes, playing to just over 7000 yards, 128 slope from the back tees, with four other sets of tees. Mostly open off the tee, interesting hole configurations, greens are large, undulating, and decent speed. Expensive though, check for lower rates when you call, they were very flexible on our last visit. The course was in good, not great shape, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Really nice layout - one of my favorites on the Gulf Coast. Davis Love design and it's very challenging, but pretty fair. There are a few forced carries. Third hole is a really nice par 5, with the green just behind a pond - tough to get on in two and hold the green. The 6th hole is crazy - forced carry over barranca off the tee to a plateau and then another forced carry to a green that seems to sit right on the bayou. The back nine is nice too. The 13th is a tough par 5, followed by the par 4 14th with an intimidating approach shot with water to the left of the fairway and green. You can drive the water off the tee too, so be careful there. The signature hole is the gorgeous 17th, a mid length par 3 across a marsh with marshland/swamp all to the right of the hole - very picturesque. Then the 18th is just a beast - blind-ish tee shot uphill to the hole.

Right now, the course is in great conditions. The greens are actually rolling the speed they should. In the past they have been extremely slow.
