The Savannahs is owned and operated by the Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department, and is located on Merritt Island off Hall Road, north of the Bennett Causeway. The course was designed by SW Florida golf course architect Gordon Lewis, and is 6,700 yards from the tips. It's routed around a housing community with each hole having either housing on one side and natural areas on the other. Very well maintained, and challenging course for all levels of play, lots of water-13 holes, and sand, but the greens are good sized and receptive. The course is reasonably priced with some off peak and senior/junior rates available.
