The Santa Fe CC is on the southwest side of Santa Fe, just east of the airport on Airport Road. Once you get away from the highway it's a fairly quiet course with the holes well separated from each other. Nice views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range throughout, and an interesting and varied layout. It's 7,085 yards from the back tees, from the whites it's 6,372 yards, 68.7/122 course and slope, which gives you plenty of challenge for a 10-15 handicapper. The club has been private for years but is now open for public play, and worth playing if you're in the area. Rates are reasonable, and the clubhouse and restaurant very well done. It's an old classic design by Tom Bendelow, who also designed Medinah in Chicago.
