The course was known as Grande Valley and closed earlier this year, but has reopened as the San Miguel Golf Club in October. You pass the course on I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix, on the west side of the road south of exit 203. The course is fully exposed to the elements here, mostly wind, and plays to 7183 yards, 117 slope from the championship tees. Nothing real championship about the course, but it's a good solid, and reasonably priced course. It's in good shape, easy to walk. Some mounding along the fairways and around the greens, but mostly flat. No bunkers on the course, which helps with the speed of play, and the greens are on the small side, severely undulating. Forrest Richardson designed the course in 1992, the white tees play to 6,040 yards, 67.6/108 and from there it's a very forgiving and playable layout.

Truly a first-class experience all the way around. Staff was friendly, course was in immaculate condition with some of the best fairways I have ever played upon, greens rolled true with appropriate speed for amount of slope, course layout is extremely fair allowing good shots to be rewarded and visually allows golfer to see shot shape required. Pace of play was slightly slow due to a large group immediately before tee time, but nothing to be overly concerned about. Would absolutely return and looking forward to doing so in the near future.

Course was in great shape. Tee box on 15 (whites) needed work. Greens were in excellent shape. Question -- why don't people fix there ball marks?
