San Geronimo Golf Course is located just 35 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge, east of US 1 in San Geronimo. It's a well maintained Robert Muir Graves design from the 1960's of 6800 yards, 138 slope, 73.5 course rating. It's a tough, tight and tricky course with narrow fairways, small greens and some OB, if you're not accurate off the tee, forget scoring well here. It's definitely affordable for the Bay area, and conditions can be below par at times, but it's in a nice setting out in the hill country. The greens are fast and undulating, well guarded by water and bunkers, the back side is much tougher than the front with some blind shots, hilly and sloping fairways, tough to keep the ball in play. Shotmaker's course.
