Salt Fork Golf Course is part of the State's Salt Fork Park. It has a conference center/resort style hotel on the site, but you don't have to stay there to play the golf course. The course is somewhat short at around 6,000 yards from the back tees, but you won't overpower it due to the hilly nature of the course, and elevated greens. It's maintained fairly well, is very reasonably priced, and is a hoot to play. Nothing but golf, no development, just through the hills of southeastern Ohio. The course plays to a 69.3 course rating, and a 126 slope and was designed by one of Ohio's 1950's architects, Jack Kidwell, along with a young apprentice named Michael Hurdzan, who became a pretty well known architect in his own right, internationally. Tough all around golf course, can't beat the price.

Course is a pleasure to play on, and in season rates provide low rates all year. Greens are almost fully recovered from aeration and traps are excellent. Fairways and rough are perfect. Excellent snack bar with good food selection. Scenery is spectacular.
