The Salina muni is the best golf course in the Salina area that's open to public play. It's a parkland style of layout that's 6,500 yards from the back tees, par 70, 72.1/117 ratings, and was designed by Floyd Farley. It's on the east side of town off Crawford Street. There's not much in the way of a clubhouse or facilities here, but it's all you really need, decent golf course, low rates, reasonably challenging, but straightforward. Mid-sized greens are mostly level, moderately guarded by bunkers, but open in the front, tree lined fairways over rolling land. They also have s 6 hole First Tee course here for beginners.
