The Sagamore is a well known old resort and spa which originated in the 1920's and has a classic Donald Ross parkland style course which from the tips is 6821 yards, 137 slope. The resort and course is on a hill overlooking Lake George in a beautiful setting. The routing for the course is partly through an open meadowland with more holes rolling tree lined fairways. The fairways are narrow, lined with native heather, with deep faced "Ross" signature bunkers surrounding the small and raised greens. The course sits on a ridge 2-1/2 miles from the hotel and has great views of Lake George and the Adirondack mountains. A first class experience, one of the best course in New York, and a top shelf environment.
