Saddle Rock is off Smoky Hill Road off the 470 in southeast Denver in the Aurora area. It's a muni, but a good course, and well conditioned, it does get a lot of play though and can be slow. It's a prairie links style design through wetlands and slightly rolling land. Designed by Dick Phelps, it plays to 7300 yards, 140 slope from the black tees. Fun and challenging course, not for beginners. Routed through a residential community, although the homes are not really in play or much of a distraction. Great value for the quality of the course compared to other Denver area upscale public courses.
