At 6935 yards from the back tees, located an hour northwest of downtown, L.A in Moorpark, off the Reagan, then north on Walnut Canyon. The course was designed by Gil Hanse and Geoff Shackelford, and opened in 2002. Minimalist design that plays through environmentally protected areas and washes with rolling fairways that are forgiving enough. There's plenty of sand, conventional, and waste area that line the course and protect the greens. The greens are large, and will accept the run up shot, are fast and undulating. Front side's a nice warm-up for the tougher back. It's a good solid course, gets heavy play, nice views, and a reasonable price.

For the most part the course plays fairly open with some holes fairways running together, even using bunkers that double as hazards for more than one hole. Good reasonably priced course if you choose to walk. Possible to go low on, depending on the degree the winds are blowing. Either way, it is always in great shape. The greens are fast and tough, local knowledge is useful. Flag Content
Right now, the course is in great conditions. The greens are actually rolling the speed they should. In the past they have been extremely slow. The only issue I have with the course is that every time I play the course somehow they charge me more than what they tell me on the phone. Flag Content
Nice golf course, challenging with some nice views and scenery. Greens weren't in the best of shape when we played, didn't looked like they had been topdressed. Pace of play was OK, and it was a good value. Flag Content
