Royal Oak is on the southeast side of Cincinnati, off I-275 at the Ohio Pike, then east a few miles to McMann Road. The club had traditionally been private for years, but has opened recently to the public. It's a parkland style layout routed through an established residential community with tree lined fairways over rolling hills, with some of the best greens in the Cincinnati area. The course opened in the early 1970's, and was designed by William Diddel, and is short from the tips at 6,400 yards, par 70 with a 129 slope. The routing is mostly narrow fairways, with uneven lies, elevated tees and greens, sand and water in play throughout, it really tests every part of your golf game. Well conditioned golf course, rates are a little steep on weekends, nice private club feel and atmosphere.
