Roses Run is just south of the KSU airport off Kent Road in Stow. The course is routed through a newer residential development on the north side of the Cuyahoga River, and is a nice blend of parkland style of holes with trees, and more open links type holes, with some decent elevation change. It's a tough course, you may enjoy it more the first time around if you play from shorter tees. From the tips it's 6,800+ yards, 128 slope. The course was designed as part of the residential community by Brian Huntley in the late 1990's, and quite frankly the homes do come into play off the tee with errant drives, and are distracting. The course is usually in good shape, rates fair, and seems to be managed well. The front is open and straightforward, the back has lots of doglegs, more hazards, and very narrow fairways. There's nothing worse than shooting the lights out on the front, then loosing it all on the back, which happens quite a lot here. It's a little rough around the edges at times but the greens are almost always impeccable, fast and smooth, long and narrow, some two-tiered, and provide a good challenge on a consistent basis. Overall, though, the course is better than average thanks to the setting, save the houses, and the excellent greens.
