Riverwalk Golf Club is just north of downtown San Diego, due east of the San Diego Freeway, on the north side of the I-8. The course was known for years as the Stardust Country Club, and was host to the PGA Tour Event in the 50's and 60's. Every big city has one of these courses, where the tour events of old were held, but have been upstaged by newer courses in design and facilities. There's three nines here, Mission, Presidio, and Friars, and are laid out similarly on slightly rolling hills, water in play on maybe 1/2 of the holes with lakes and the San Diego River, it's well bunkered, with trees in play. Redesigned by Ted Robinson, it's been updated a bit, gets a lot of play, and is the closest course to downtown, save maybe Coronado. The Presidio course is 3400 yards, Mission, 3153, and Friars, 3230, all from the back tees. Slope for the Friars/Presidio is 123, the other two combinations are 120. Nice lighted driving range as well.

Course was in perfect condition. Cannot think of one thing wrong. You don't feel like your at a public course.
