Squaw Creek is in a stunning setting at the Squaw Valley USA ski area at an elevation of 6,200 feet, and is an open links type of course routed around wetlands, native grasses, and plays to a par-71, 6,931 yards from the gold tees with a slope of 140. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr, and is tucked onto a small tract of land, and the views are fantastic. Five holes are fairly hilly with tree lined fairways, the rest are routed over the meadow and wetlands. The course requires good accuracy rather than distance, and can be penal if you're spraying the ball.

Great course. It was a bit pricey, but worth the trip and price... The course was in great condition, challenging course with lot's of trouble for errant shots, but good shots are rewarded. The staff was great. Flag Content
