Reedsburg CC is on the east side of Reedsburg, about 20 minutes west of Barbaoo, and 10 minutes off the US 12 exit of I-94/90, just east of the Dells. The course is routed through a residential community, but the homes surrounding the course aren't all that visible from the course or distracting. Championship caliber course, tough layout, very challenging for all levels of play. Golf's been played here since the 1920's, but only three holes of the original layout remain, with the current design by Ken Killian and Dick Nugent. From the White tees it's just over 6,000 yards, 69.0/122, but plays much tougher than the ratings suggest. It doesn't look that difficult from the scorecard until you get out on the course. You're best to leave the driver in the trunk of your car so you won't be tempted, the narrow tree, water, and OB lined fairways will destroy your attempt at shooting par here. Nice variety to the holes, small to large greens which are fast and undulating, a variety of bunkers, and strategic hole layouts. It's a great test, and always in good condition, just a little expensive on weekends.
