Raven's Claw is between Pottstown and Limerick, 30 minutes from the King of Prussia area. The course, from the tips is 6,740 yards, 130 slope, par 71 and was designed by Ed Shearon in 2005. Great conditioning, and variety of holes and shots, very upscale facility and good service. It's can be a very difficult course for the15+ handicapper, be sure to play the best tees for your game. Nice open type links holes, and tree lined fairways, good movement to the land and elevation change. Course management required here over distance, especially on approach to the greens. Nice scenic layout, would highly recommend.

Overall, an interesting layout, but not always in the best of shape. The layout has holes modeled after other famous courses, like the par 2 12th at August, makes it fun since you'll never be able to play those courses for real. It is wide-open, and not much in the way of rough, so you can swing away off The restaurant serves probably some of the worst food in the area. Overall, I would golf here on a weekday. Weekends expect to wait. I would not eat here, but a drink or two should be fine.

We played from the Blue tees at 6,393 yards, 70.1/128 course/slope. We though the signature hole was #14, a 137-yard, par 3, loosely modeled after the famous 12th at Augusta National. It is surrounded by water, shaded by trees and called "Cathedral" on the scorecard - like the famous Masters par 3. The downhill shot to the angled green was a 9 iron, but a tough green to hit, although a beautiful hole.
