Los Caballeros is located in Wickenburg, about 1 1/2 hours northwest of Phoenix, and about an hour south of Prescott. Interesting and challenging course design that is 7,014 yards from the tips with a slope rating of 135. It was a fun course to play, not a bad drive out, but the rates were still as steep as the Phoenix area in the season. The course was virtually empty and we got around in under four hours. The course is set below Bradshaw Mountains in the upper Sonoran Dessert, and was designed by Greg Nash and Jeff Hardin in the late 1970's, and is routed through a residential development with either houses bordering the holes or the desert landscape. Nice elevation change to a number of the holes, some water features, and well bunkered. Nice setting, good views, a bit isolated, and worth the drive.

Fantastic course. Greens were overseeded recently, but don't have aeration holes. Rough is grown in in most places and very penal. 6-10 inches sometimes around bunkers. Layout is challenging but fair if you play away from trouble. Its a must play if you love golf.
