Quintero Golf Club, previously an exclusive private club, a Rees Jones layout is available for public play, and has discount rates available on GolfNow, but still over $100. It's on the far north side of Phoenix in Peoria, just west of Lake Pleasant, about 15 minutes west of I-17. It's an hour northwest of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport in the high Sonoran desert near Lake Pleasant in the Hieroglyphic Mountains. It's a stunning design at an elevation of 2,600 feet, the entire course is surrounded by Federal lands, completely devoid of development. Desert and mountain views throughout the round, significant elevation changes with Saguaro, Ocotillo, Ironwood, Palo Verde, and Acacia cactus and trees lining the fairways and in the desert landscape. There's multiple tees from 5,317 yards to 7,190 yards from the back tees, conditioning is what you'd expect for a high end private club. It's a challenging course, 145 slope from the tips, and one of the better public access courses in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Spectacular course and setting, a must play if you're on the north side of Phoenix.
