Quail Hollow was designed by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, and is constantly ranked as one of the top courses in the state. From the tips, the course measures 6394 with a handicap rating of 70.7, and a slope of 129. The course is extremely hilly, don't try walking it, with elevated tees to raised greens, bunkers throughout, and water on 11 holes. There's a few forced carries over gullies, one in particular the par 3, 2nd hole. The greens are slick and undulating, favoring the roll of the mountain influence. The course is just northeast of downtown Boise, and is a must play if you're in town.
