If you drive I-75 much through north Florida, Quail Heights is the course right along the Interstate, on the east side in Lake City. There's three nine hole layouts here, the Creeks at 3380 yards, the Dunes at 3413, and the Ponds at 3392 yards, all from the black tees. Mostly a parkland style of golf course, with tree lined fairways, rolling hills, designed by Pete Cooper in the 1970's. Fun and interesting course with a lot of trouble, was really quite difficult the first time out. Very well conditioned, the greens were in excellent shape, and lots of variety to the holes. Reasonably priced greens fees, and a good practice facility, nice place to take a break from driving I-75, and play a round or hit a bucket of eggs.

Excellent course in fantastic condition. One of the very best in the area. Friendly bar and pro shop staff, reasonably priced.
