Pyrford Golf Club is in Surrey, southwest London, outside the M25, just west of the A3/Portsmouth Road. It was designed by Peter Allis and Clive Clarke, and plays to 6,256 yards, par 72 with a SSS of 70 from the white tees. It's a open course without much in the way of trees, and has only one hole without water in play, and provides for a good deal of risk/reward play if you're so inclined. It's a most testing moorland/parkland course requiring good course management with tight fairways and the water. The greens are undulating, and a variety of pin positions provides numerous opportunities and challenges. The course's back nine is more interesting and with more character than the front, but otherwise well done, especially the conditions.

It is a pleasure to play here, but you have to keep your wits about you, to card a reasonable score. This course is a solid challenge to a golfer of any level. Not only is the course great, but so are the facilities and the staff. Don't be put off by the high green fees, it was worth every penny
