Purple Sage Municipal Golf Course

Purple Sage is up in Caldwell, about 30 minutes north of Boise on I-84. Use exit 125, then head north on Old Highway 30 to the course. It's a muni, run by the city of Caldwell, par 71m 6,753 yards from the tips with a 71 course rating and a 123 slope, designed by Vernon Macan. Mostly straightforward layout, straight and back fairways with the small trees that were planted when they built the course, now coming into play. Reasonably priced, gets a lot of play on the weekends and is slow. Usually maintained in OK conditions, but keep in mind it is a muni.
