Pole Creek Golf Club was designed by Denis Griffiths in 1985 and is a 27-hole layout, a classic mountain course, located just outside Winter Park. It can play to 7,107-yards and is laid out through meadows and fields with wildflowers and native tall grasses bordering the fairways, good elevation changes, water hazards with two ponds and five lakes. The Ridge nine is the toughest track here with tree lined tight fairways, and yardage of 3,603. The Meadow and Ranch are a bit easier on your game. All three courses play to par 36, and are at an elevation of 8,600 feet above sea level. The Meadow and Ranch courses were part of the original eighteen hole design. Both offer partially tree-lined fairways and play across several lakes and creeks. On the southwestern edge of the Rocky Mountain National Park just 15 Minutes from Winter Park ski area, a pleasure to play in a beautiful setting.

This course is one of the most beautiful tracks I ever saw. Magnificent views of the Rocky Mountains. Large elevations that give spectacular views of the course from the tee boxes. The course is 7100 yards, but the ball moves big time because of the elevation and thin air so its very fair in terms of reaching greens. The course was carved out of an aspen forest. Highly recommended. Bring a camera.

There's three 9 hole here. The Ranch has a variety of terrain, with Pole Creek running through the course. The Ridge is more easy on the game, parkland style with the best views, very isolated and unique holes The Meadow is a nice blend of tree-lined and open holes that cross Pole Creek and two lakes several times. Would always make time to play all three, but if only time for two it would be the Ranch and Ridge

Pole Creek is considered the best public course in Colorado. I have played it twice in two different years. This course is one of the most beautiful tracks I ever saw. Magnificent views of the Rocky Mountains. Large elevations that give spectacular views of the course from the tee boxes. 27 holes of Classic Mountain Golf on three distinct courses: The Ranch , The Meadow and The Ridge . Pole Creek's design was conceived by Denis Griffiths, who incorporated existing lodgepole pine, valley meadows, sagebrush and a variety of water hazards including five lakes to create a diverse course appealing to a wide range of golfers. The Ranch 9 and The Meadow 9 wander through lush fields, while The Ridge 9 showcases what golf pro JT Thompson calls "the most spectacular view in Colorado."While the holes are long, the ball moves big time because of the elevation and thin air so its very fair in terms of reaching greens. Highly recommended. Bring a camera
