Pointe South is about 10 minutes south of Augusta on GA 25. Good solid parkland style of layout over rolling hills at a reasonable rate, except Masters week! Nice natural setting, tight tree lined fairways, water and sand in play throughout, a course management drill rather than blasting the tee ball. It played to 6,460 from the tips with a 118 slope, but seemed to play tougher than the course rating of 69.9. The course has been around since the early 1990's, designed by Tim Rivers and Joe Clement, is reasonably priced, and fairly well maintained.
