Plantation is a 55+ community There's two 18 hole courses here, Otter Creek, 5,900 yards from the White tees, 69.5/123; and Cranes Roost, shorter at 5,500 yards, 66.8/117. Both courses are routed through a residential community for active adults, and they've usually active on the golf course. Fun courses if you're in the area, but if you're a low handicapper, head to Mission Inn for more challenge. Otter Creek is more of a course management drill through the trees with a lot of water and sand in play. while Cranes Roost seems a little more forgiving, but still has water on most holes. Both courses were designed by Lloyd Clifton, Otter in the 1980's, Cranes Roost in the mid-1990's. Very reasonably priced, conditions so-so, and a basic clubhouse and facilities. Good middle of the road, Florida style golf, but not high end by any stretch. Contact the golf course directly for tee times, or check GolfNow! for the best rates.
