Pine Forest Country Club

Pine Forest is a residential development course on the north side of Charleston in Summerville. From the Charleston Airport take the 199 exit/Main Street off I-26, then west to downtown, then north off downtown The course is an interesting layout with each hole unlike any other and a variety of doglegs and elevation changes throughout, the only negative is that the course is lined with houses. It was designed by Bob Spence with Davis Love III. The course has five sets of tees ranging from the extremely challenging championship tees (6,905 yards with a course rating of 73.9 and a slope of 138) down to the ladies tees measure 4,990 yards with a course rating of 70.8 and a slope of 115. Good solid golf course, very challenging layout, nice value for the money, not your high end upscale experience, but a good middle of the road course for the Charleston area.
