Pheasant Country has a couple of lakes, and streams in play on most holes, routed along the Heart River. It's about 1 mile south of Exit 51, Interstate 94, 9 miles west of Dickinson, and 26 miles east of Medora, about an hour west of Bismarck. Was nice to find a golf course of this quality out here in the middle of North Dakota. The course routing is relatively play, a good mix of open, links style holes blended with tree lined holes, routed along the Heart River. Straightforward design, everything's right in front of you here, From the black tees it's 6,371 yards, 112 slope, and has three other sets of tees. One of the better courses in the area west of Bismarck, and easy to jump off the Interstate and play.

Reasonably priced greens fees, $15 at 3 pm, just driving by on the interstate and stopped for a quick round. Nice conditions, some interesting holes, glad I stopped
