Perdido Bay is one of the better golf courses open to the public in the general area. It's routed through a residential community with water in play in some shape or form on every hole, and is well bunkered, and is not really suited for the higher handicapper. It's west of Pensacola off Sorrento Road on Perdido Bay. The course used to be the venue for the Pensacola Open, and is a good quality layout, at a decent value, and a nice blend of holes. Generally, it's well conditioned, save for the summers, and the pace of play usually around 4.5 hours. It was originally designed by Bill Amick in the 1960's with further design work by Bill Bergin. It's can play from 7,000 yards down to 5,100 yards, we play from the white tees at 6,024 yards, 69.9/114 and it's a fain challenge and fun course to play. Nice practice facility and good restaurant in the clubhouse.
