The course is set on Mobile Bay bounded by the Bon Secour WIldlife Preserve, just west of Gulf Shores. It's a 27 hole course, designed by Earl Stone, and is routed through live oak and cypress tree stands with lakes at every turn, in a very natural setting. The three nines are Cypress, Marsh, and Lakes, and are all around 3500 yards from the tips, with the Marsh/Lakes a 125 slope, Lakes/Cypress 124, and the Cypress/Marsh 121 slope. Interesting hole design, somewhat forgiving on your errant shot, the course is a very well conditioned parkland style course. The greens tend to be elevated, with medium speed, and slight undulations. Overall, any combination of courses, or all of them for that matter are enjoyable and fun to play.

One of the best things I can say about this golf course, is it help me learn to get out of the sand. I was there quite a bit, thought I was at the beach. Fun, tough, loved it.
