Pass Christian Isle

The "Isles" course, at the Pass Christian Isles Golf Club facility, is an old classic, one of the oldest courses on the Gulf Coast from the early 1900's. It's routed through the Timber Ridge community right before you head over the bridge to Bay St. Louis. It was designed by one of the masters of golf course architecture, Tom Bendelow who also designed Medinah in Chicago. It's a short layout that's been updated over the years, and survived Katrina, save loosing a few trees, but it needed thinning anyway. From the back tees it's 6,396 yards, 70.1/123 ratings, but you won't shoot your handicap here with tight, tree lined fairways, water hazards, and smallish greens, routed over flat land. It's has a reasonably new, functional clubhouse, the rates are fair for the quality of the course, and much lower than the upscale casino courses around Biloxi. Nice break from the casinos, great value, laid back atmosphere, and a good test.
