The Palatka Golf Course is a Donald Ross original design from 1925, and is a step back in time. In on the south side of town off Moseley Ave, and is a treat to play if you enjoy older golf course designs. It's parkland style with tree lined fairways, small perched greens, some water, and moderate amount of bunkering. Since it's only 5,900 yards from the back tees with a course rating of 67.1, a 115 slope, par 70, you might think it would be an ego builder, but it's not. The fairways are narrow and tree lined, the greens small with tough up and downs if you miss. It had fallen off in terms of conditioning, but seems to be consistently in much better shape recently. Good value for the money, and a good test for your golf game.
