Paa-Ko Ridge Golf Course is east of Albuquerque, take I-40 east to Cedar Crest exit #175; go north on Highway 14 about 9 mi. Turn west (left) on Paa-Ko Golf Drive, about 4 miles. The course is named after the Anasazi Pueblo Indian ruins nearby, and is a mountain style of course at 6,800 fee elevation on the eastern slope of the Sandia Mountains, a fantastic course and views throughout the layout. It's 27 holes, the three nines range between 3500 and 3700 yards from the blue tees with a total of 5 sets of tees for all levels of play. The layout's landing areas are bordered by arroyos, native tall grasses, and rock outcroppings, and is a major contrast to the green fairways. Some great elevation change with a number of downhill tee shots that seem to soar forever through the ponderosa, pinon and juniper tree lined fairways. The course was designed by Ken Dye, opened in 2000, and from the.Blue tees is 7,195 yards, with a 73.1 course rating and a slope of 134.Overall, a more difficult course than I was expecting, but in great condition throughout, and the views are worth the trip out, as are the rates.

Paa Ko is also a wonderful golf course in a stunning landscape. It does not have the natural raw feel that I enjoy so much at Black Mesa. I thought the course was a bit more repetitive, particularly with the par threes. I would return without hesitation.

Absolutely gorgeous, & very difficult. On almost any hole you'll swear there's not another person on the course & no other holes...but it's in the midst of multi-million dollar homes. It's very highly rated in all the magazines that rate courses. Like a lot of high-end courses these days, they do offer some good deals, especially on Monday & Tuesdays I think. You won't be disappointed there I don't think.

Paa Ko Ridge was absolutely STUNNING! By far my favorite layout Ive ever played. Conditions were very playable and the greens rolled fast and true. Outstanding customer service from all the employees, beautiful setting, and very fair rates.

There's a reason why this is one of New Mexico's top courses, it's fantastic. Great scenery throughout the course, the course itself was in good shape, but you could tell they've had some drought conditions this summer. Challenging course, varied hole design, and shot values, will definitely recommend to anyone traveling to NM.
