The course is the second course to the Ocean course here, and in my opinion, much more playable. It was designed by Tom Fazio, and from the back tees is 6,832 yards and 135 slope. It's a challenging, strategic course, with wind in play, but not as penal as the Ocean course, and neither are the rates! .The course is routed around and across four lakes, salt marsh, and though tree line fairways of live oaks, pines, palmettos and magnolias. Good variety of hole, all separated, and some great par 3's in terms of beauty and challenge. A few risk/reward shots, and doglegs providing a strong case for good golf course management.

What a setting for a golf course! The views were awesome. The course is a delight to play; we teed off in the afternoon, and played in 4 hours! The marshals were very visible, but unobtrusive. The shop and cart staff were very friendly and effusive. PLAY THIS COURSE!
