Tamarack is a four season resort located about 90 miles north of Boise. It's a resort and vacation home development, and good for family vacations with everything imaginable to do. The golf course is a Robert Trent Jones Jr 7319 yards and 141 slope from the double diamond tees, and was laid out on a great piece of land in the middle of the Payette River Mountains. While the course is great, the setting and views of Lake Cascade and the mountains is something. The course has good elevation change, sugar white sand bunkers through, a couple of great par threes, and risk/reward par fives. There's open meadow type holes, and ones with huge stand of really tall pine trees, and natural mitigation areas. A great find, though tough to get to if you're not a guest of the resort.

One of the best and most challenging courses in Idaho. Be sure to request the course layout booklet for hole by hole yardage and obstacles. I rank it a 5 out 5

Course opening back up on July 25, thank goodness, great golf course, just in time to finish the summer, hope it's in decent shape.

Heard this course is in bankruptcy and may close, better check before you head out there. It was a great course, but there's others in the area like Whitetail and Jug Mountain
