Old Trail Golf Course

Old Trail is off I-64 at exit 107 at Rockfish Gap Turnpike, then east about a mile, and is midway between Charlottesville and Waynesboro. The course opened in 2005 and was designed by Jerry Kamis and plays to 6,900 yards from the back tees, 72.3/129 ratings with three sets of tees. Beautiful setting in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains, reasonably priced, and fairly well conditioned. Overall a fair, but challenging golf course, some odd holes, we thought especially on the back side.Nice blend of mostly open holes, and some with tree lined fairways, water in play on a couple of holes, and moderately bunkered. Good for the ego, depending on which tees you choose, you can beat your handicap here.
