Old Silo is located 20 minutes east of Lexington in Mount Sterling. It was designed by Graham Marsh, and is one of the better public courses in the Lexington area. The course winds through the rolling hills of central Kentucky, with water in play along Somerset Creek throughout the course. The course is well bunkered around the greens and in the landing areas with at least 100 bunkers throughout the course. Bent grass greens and fairways, usually in great shape, and a price that's right. The course measures 6977 from the tips, 74.5 handicap, and 139 slope, but has five sets of tees.
