Ocean Shores is on the Pacific in Ocean Shores due west of Aberdeen. The course opened in 1961, and grew in stages to a full 18 hole championship course, and at one time was owned by Pat Boone, who hosted the Celebrity Golf Classic here, later a regular L.P.G.A. Tour stop. Two completely different types of golf courses here, tight, tree lined fairways, parkland style for nine holes, and a more open and links like, open with tall native grasses lining the fairways with the wind affecting play more on the back side. It's only 6252, par 71, 117 slope from the back tees, but it's not as easy as it's rating would suggest.
