The course is located in Florence on the Pacific, due east of Eugene, and is kind of a poor man's Bandon Dunes. It's a true links style course by definition as it was built on sandy and well drained soil at the edge of the ocean, and is open and always windy. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,100 yards par 71, with a slope of 124. The fairways are cut tight and hard, the greens accept and actually promote the bump and run to stay under the constant breeze, and avoid the pot bunkers. The course was designed by William G. Robinson, and is a real treat to play at a reasonable price.

The local tribe that owns the Three Rivers casino has bought the course and is planning upgrades to the course and clubhouse. Great course, a lot of fun to play, and the prices are reasonable, looking forward to the upgrades as long as it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg to play here in the future!

Greens were a little bumps, but the rest of the course was in good shape. Pace of play was not a problem, got around in 3.5 hours. Tough track though, bring your A game, both off the tee, and around the greens, not much room for error. Very enjoyable throughout, but for the higher handicappers, it will be a long day here.

Before all the fuss with Bandon, this was one of Golf Digest's best new courses, and remains a great track today, just a little overshadowed by Bandon. The course has a lot of variety with the front stide parkland, the back links style. The greens are challenging, and the wind's always in play, and plenty of bunkers and a few water holes, it's all the challenge you want at a reasonable price. Yes, it doesn't have the stellar conditioning or upscale facilities, but a good solid track, and fun to play
