Oakwing Golf Club

Oak Wing is one of two good solid courses that's open to the public in the Alexandria area, and is part of the Audubon Golf Trail of Louisiana. It has a challenging, but fair layout through the trees, hills and bayous of central Louisiana, and is just over 7000 yards, and a 125 slope from the championship tees, and designed by Jim Lipe. It was built on the former England Air Force Base. It's a bit expensive, and the other course nearby, The Links on the Bay is also a good alternative, and is less costly. .
