The course is a muni run by the city of High Point, and is located in Oak Hollow Park, a large park and recreation complex around a 700 acre lake on the northeastern side of High Point. It was designed by Pete Dye in 1972, and plays to 6,483 yards and 121 slope from the blue tees. The course features some of Dye's trademark design ideas such as bunkers lined with pilings, and island tee, fairways shored up with railroad ties, grass bunkers, and a green on a peninsula. The greens are mostly small with little undulation, and the land is somewhat rolling. Good little course, easy on the pocketbook, and a decent challenge.

Beautiful Pete Dye design, I've played this course several times in the last few weeks, amazing bargain for the course you play. It was in the winter when I played, the fairways were all light brown, I can not wait to see how luscious and beautiful it is when it comes springtime.. I've got a special thing for this course...been a 20 handicap for a long time, and made my first birdie here. You won't be disappointed with this place.
